Overview
The Training and Development Unit (TDU) of ICST University Park serves as the central hub for professional development, institutional capacity building, and human capital enhancement within the university. The unit is responsible for planning and implementing structured training programs aimed at developing the competencies of academic staff, administrative personnel, and students in line with institutional goals and industry expectations.
The TDU works collaboratively with academic and administrative departments to identify training needs, enhance teaching and learning practices, and improve overall institutional effectiveness. It supports staff development, promotes modern teaching methodologies, and facilitates student skill development to enhance employability and lifelong learning.
In addition, the unit plays a key role in strengthening the institutional quality culture by supporting quality assurance processes, maintaining training records, and contributing to accreditation and audit readiness. Through continuous monitoring and evaluation of training programs, the TDU ensures the effectiveness and relevance of its initiatives.
Through its ongoing efforts, the Training and Development Unit contributes to academic excellence, professional growth, and institutional sustainability at ICST University Park.

Key Functions of the Training and Development Unit
- Training Needs Analysis and Planning:
Identifying competency gaps among staff and students through systematic assessments and aligning training initiatives with institutional priorities. - Professional Development Programs:
Organizing and implementing training programs for academic staff, administrative personnel, and students, including workshops, seminars, and skill development sessions. - Academic Staff Development:
Enhancing teaching effectiveness through programs on modern teaching practices, outcome-based education, assessment methods, and digital learning technologies. - Student Development and Employability:
Facilitating programs focused on career readiness, communication skills, leadership, and personal development to improve graduate employability. - Monitoring and Evaluation:
Assessing the effectiveness of training programs through structured feedback, outcome evaluation, and continuous improvement practices. - Support for Quality Assurance:
Contributing to institutional quality processes by maintaining training documentation, supporting audits, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. - Certification and Professional Recognition:
Issuing certificates for training participation and professional development to support career growth and performance evaluation.
