BSc (Hons) in Computer Science - (3 Years)

This BSc (Hons) in Computer Science is designed for students beginning their undergraduate journey and provides a strong foundation in the principles, practices, and technologies that power today’s digital world.

ICST has partnered with NEXT Campus, a recognized collaborative partner of London Metropolitan University, to offer internationally accredited degree programmes in Information Technology. This collaboration allows students to earn a UK degree while gaining exposure to global academic standards and enhancing their career prospects in both local and international markets.

Throughout the programme, students develop in-depth knowledge of core computer science areas such as programming and software development, data structures and algorithms, databases, computer networks, operating systems, and web technologies. The curriculum balances theory with hands-on practical learning, ensuring graduates are well prepared for rapidly evolving technology-driven careers.

Students gain practical experience in designing, developing, and maintaining computing systems while working with modern tools, programming languages, and emerging technologies. In response to the growing threats of cybercrime, digital fraud, and cyber-attacks, ICST University has partnered with NEXT Campus, a recognized collaborative partner of London Metropolitan University, to offer internationally accredited degree programmes in Information Technology. This collaboration enables students to earn a UK degree while gaining exposure to global academic standards and enhancing career prospects both locally and internationally.

With demand for cybersecurity professionals far exceeding supply in Sri Lanka and worldwide, this programme prepares students for high-impact careers across technology, finance, government, law enforcement, and national security. The curriculum combines strong academic foundations with hands-on learning in ethical hacking, digital forensics, incident response, network security, and information assurance.

Students are encouraged to gain industry experience or internships before their final year, strengthening practical skills and employability. Career readiness is embedded throughout the programme, with a focus on professional communication, technical reporting, and interview preparation.

BSc (Hons) Computer Science - Top-Up Degree - (1 year)

The BSc (Hons) Computer Science Top-Up Degree at ICST University Park is designed for students who have completed a Higher Diploma or equivalent qualification in IT and wish to progress to a full UK Honours Degree. This one-year programme represents the final stage (Level 6) of the degree and is delivered in line with the academic standards of London Metropolitan University.

ICST has established a strategic partnership with NEXT Campus, a recognized collaborative partner of London Metropolitan University, to offer internationally accredited degree programmes in Business and Information Technology. Through this collaboration, students are provided with the opportunity to earn a UK degree while benefiting from global academic standards, exposure to international curricula, and enhanced career prospects in both local and global markets.

The programme enhances students’ knowledge in core areas of computer science while developing practical skills in software development, systems design, and problem-solving. Higher Diploma in Information Technology

The Higher Diploma in Information Technology at ICST University Park is a professionally oriented programme designed to equip students with practical and industry-relevant IT skills. Aligned with NVQ Level 6 and SLQF Level 4 standards, the programme is delivered over four semesters and provides a comprehensive foundation in modern computing.

The curriculum integrates key areas such as programming, systems analysis and design, database management, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and software development, alongside essential business and professional skills. With a strong emphasis on hands-on learning, students develop the technical competence, problem-solving ability, and workplace readiness required in today’s IT industry.

The programme also offers flexibility through elective modules in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, data science, ethical hacking, and big data technologies, enabling students to tailor their learning to their career aspirations.

Importantly, the Higher Diploma serves as a direct pathway to a Top-Up degree from a recognised UK university, allowing students to progress seamlessly to a full undergraduate qualification. Upon completion, students may either continue their academic journey or enter the IT sector in entry-level professional roles.

Certificate Programmes

Certificate in Business & IT - Level 03

The Certificate in Business Information Technology is a foundation-level programme designed to equip students with essential IT knowledge, business awareness, and professional skills required for entry-level roles or further academic progression in the field of Information Technology and Business. 

The programme covers key areas such as basic computing, web design, mathematics and statistics, management, marketing, and employability skills, ensuring a balanced blend of technical and business-focused learning. Strong emphasis is placed on communication, academic skills, and practical application, enabling students to adapt to modern workplace requirements. 

This certificate programme serves as an ideal starting point for school leavers and beginners, providing a solid foundation for progression to advanced IT or business-related diploma programmes. 

  • The ICST Certificate programme consists of 8 mandatory modules for a combined total of 23 credits, 1150 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT).
