Overview
This BSc (Hons) in Computer Science is designed for students beginning their undergraduate journey and provides a strong foundation in the principles, practices, and technologies that power today’s digital world.
ICST has partnered with NEXT Campus, a recognized collaborative partner of London Metropolitan University, to offer internationally accredited degree programmes in Information Technology. This collaboration allows students to earn a UK degree while gaining exposure to global academic standards and enhancing their career prospects in both local and international markets.
Throughout the programme, students develop in-depth knowledge of core computer science areas such as programming and software development, data structures and algorithms, databases, computer networks, operating systems, and web technologies. The curriculum balances theory with hands-on practical learning, ensuring graduates are well prepared for rapidly evolving technology-driven careers.
Students gain practical experience in designing, developing, and maintaining computing systems while working with modern tools, programming languages, and emerging technologies. In response to the growing threats of cybercrime, digital fraud, and cyber-attacks, ICST University has partnered with NEXT Campus, a recognized collaborative partner of London Metropolitan University, to offer internationally accredited degree programmes in Information Technology. This collaboration enables students to earn a UK degree while gaining exposure to global academic standards and enhancing career prospects both locally and internationally.
With demand for cybersecurity professionals far exceeding supply in Sri Lanka and worldwide, this programme prepares students for high-impact careers across technology, finance, government, law enforcement, and national security. The curriculum combines strong academic foundations with hands-on learning in ethical hacking, digital forensics, incident response, network security, and information assurance.
