Overview

The Industrial Linkage Unit (ILU) of ICST University Park plays a vital role in strengthening collaboration between academia and industry. The unit functions as a bridge connecting the university with industrial partners, enabling students and academic staff to gain practical exposure, professional networks, and real-world knowledge. 
 
Through partnerships with local and international organizations, the Industrial Linkage Unit facilitates internships, training programs, collaborative research, industry consultations, and employment opportunities for students and graduates. This collaboration ensures that academic programs remain relevant to industry requirements and contribute to national and global economic development. 
 
The ILU also supports entrepreneurship initiatives and encourages innovation by fostering a culture of collaboration between students, academics, and industry professionals.

Mission

The mission of the Industrial Linkage Unit is to strengthen the relationship between the university and industry by promoting collaboration in education, research, innovation, and professional development. The unit aims to prepare students for the dynamic workforce by providing industry exposure, practical training, and opportunities for skill development. 

Objectives of the Industrial Linkage Unit

  1. Strengthen University–Industry Collaboration by establishing partnerships with industries, organizations, and professional bodies. 
  2. Enhance Student Employability by providing internship opportunities, industrial training, and job placement support. 
  3. Promote Practical Learning by bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications. 
  4. Support Research and Innovation through collaborative research projects between academic staff and industry professionals. 
  5. Facilitate Knowledge Exchange through workshops, seminars, guest lectures, and industry visits.
  6. Encourage Entrepreneurship by supporting student-led startups and innovation projects. 
  7. Develop Professional Networks connecting students, alumni, and industry partners. 

Key Functions of the Industrial Linkage Unit

  1. Coordinating internships and industrial training programs. 
  2. Establishing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with industries and organizations. 
  3. Organizing industry visits and exposure programs. 
  4. Arranging career guidance sessions and job fairs. 
  5. Facilitating industry-based research collaborations.
  6. Supporting entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives. 
  7. Connecting graduates with employment opportunities.
