Students Clubs (Media, IT, English)

ICST students have the opportunity to obtain free membership in a variety of student clubs, including those focused on Media, IT, and English. These clubs serve as a cornerstone for student development, offering a vibrant platform for personal growth, academic enrichment, and creative expression.

The clubs play a vital role in enhancing the institution’s reputation and fostering meaningful community engagement. They also contribute significantly to student development by building practical skills, encouraging creativity, and providing valuable professional experience. Participation helps students cultivate essential attributes such as leadership, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Beyond academic benefits, involvement in student clubs offers opportunities for networking, collaboration on projects, and participation in events, competitions, and workshops. These experiences enable students to develop confidence, expand their horizons, and form lasting friendships with peers who share similar interests and passions.

At ICST, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom, and our student clubs exemplify this ethos by supporting holistic development and preparing students to thrive both personally and professionally.

Sports and Talent

The Sports and Talent at ICST is an integral part of our institution, dedicated to supporting and enriching the lives of our undergraduates. Students are provided with opportunities to participate in a wide range of sporting and talent-based activities, promoting physical fitness, personal growth, and a sense of camaraderie.

Students have the chance to compete in Inter-Faculty Games, Inter-University Games in partnership with ICST University Park, as well as at national championships. These events enable students to showcase their skills, represent the university with pride, and gain valuable experience in competitive settings.

Beyond competitive sport, the division also encourages students to explore and develop their talents in areas such as music, dance, drama, and other creative arts. Regular workshops, training sessions, and talent shows are organised to nurture diverse abilities and help students build confidence and stage presence.

At ICST, we believe that involvement in sports and talent activities contributes significantly to holistic development, fostering discipline, teamwork, leadership, and resilience. Participation not only enhances physical and mental well-being but also helps create lasting memories and friendships that enrich the university experience.

Academic Society

Academic societies at ICST are dedicated to promoting academic excellence and intellectual engagement among students. These societies often focus on specific fields of study or interdisciplinary topics, offering a diverse range of activities aimed at enhancing teaching, learning, and research.

Through guest lectures, seminars, workshops, study groups, and collaborative projects, academic societies provide students with opportunities to deepen their subject knowledge, engage in critical discussions, and explore emerging trends and developments within their disciplines.

Membership in these societies enables students to connect with like-minded peers, exchange ideas, and build valuable networks with academics and industry professionals. Participation also helps students develop essential skills such as research proficiency, public speaking, academic writing, and analytical thinking.

At ICST, we believe that academic societies play a vital role in fostering curiosity, encouraging innovation, and preparing students to contribute meaningfully to both scholarly and professional communities. Engaging with an academic society is an excellent way for students to enrich their educational experience and achieve personal and academic growth.

Welfare Society

The Welfare Societies at ICST are dedicated to enhancing the well-being of both students and staff. These societies typically focus on various aspects of welfare, aiming to create a supportive, inclusive, and healthy environment across the university community.

Their activities encompass initiatives related to mental health and well-being, financial assistance, health and safety awareness, and social support services. The Welfare Societies organise workshops, counselling sessions, awareness campaigns, and recreational activities to promote a balanced lifestyle and help individuals manage the challenges of academic and professional life.

In addition, they play a crucial role in providing assistance during times of personal difficulty, fostering a culture of care, empathy, and mutual support. Welfare Societies also collaborate with external organisations and professionals to ensure members of the ICST community have access to the necessary resources and guidance.

At ICST, we believe that the welfare of our students and staff is fundamental to their success and overall happiness. Our Welfare Societies are committed to ensuring that everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive both personally and academically.

Multifaith Society

The Multifaith Society at ICST is a vibrant and welcoming community dedicated to fostering mutual understanding, respect, and harmony among students from diverse religious backgrounds. This society regularly organises events, discussions, and activities aimed at promoting interfaith dialogue and collaboration, helping to create an inclusive environment where all students feel valued and supported.

The society embraces students practising a variety of faiths, including Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, and others, encouraging members to explore their own beliefs while gaining insight into the traditions and values of others. Through workshops, cultural celebrations, and open forums, the Multifaith Society nurtures an atmosphere of tolerance and unity, essential for a diverse academic community.

At ICST, we recognise the importance of spiritual well-being alongside academic achievement, and the Multifaith Society plays a key role in enriching campus life by promoting understanding, empathy, and peaceful coexistence among all students.
